Occupational health and safety are among the pillars of the RadiciGroup sustainability strategy, reinforced by a strong commitment to environmental preservation. In the context of this strategy, the Group created the Radipeople Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) line in 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to respond with certified products and equipment to the need for personal protection of medics and health personnel.
In a short period of time, RadiciGroup, supported by its multi-year experience in the field of nonwovens and its well-established knowledge of material chemistry, was able to reorient and optimize its know-how to the production and sale of personal protective equipment for a diverse mix of industries: construction, agriculture, oil & gas, chemical, pharmaceutical and food.
Traceability and circularity
The company joined the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification ISCC Plus scheme, a traceability certification for circular materials that is issued by applying the mass balance approach.
RadiciGroup personal protective equipment is the result of strict selection of raw materials along the entire value chain and strict control of end product quality: choosing to wear a Radipeople protective garment means selecting product and system sustainability combined with maximum comfort and technical performance.
The importance of the EC marking
The products in the Radipeople line are entirely tailored and made in Italy and are in conformity with the criteria and the six types of Category III chemical protective clothing defined by the European Union.
EC certification ensures that our coveralls provide protection against external agents (exposure to gas and liquids under pressure, as well as dust), while guaranteeing the maximum performance of the fabrics, stitching and taped seams.
